Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey

Since 1757, the town of Kilbeggan and the distillery that shares its name have been inextricably linked. After almost three decades of waiting for someone to swoop in and revive the dormant distillery, the townspeople took matters into their own hands.  For three years, volunteers spent nights and weekends bringing the building back to life and filling its stills once again. We were tasked with introducing their story to an American audience who’d never heard of the stuff.

‘We Are Kilbeggan’ is a campaign built around still photography and film captured by Josh Goleman over the course of a three day shoot. These images were also put to use in a 32-page ‘zine’ that featured interviews with the principal forces behind the distillery’s revitalization and put the town’s resilient spirit on display.
